This is the quintessential Scandinavian modernist Snowflake chandelier by Paavo Tynell for Taito Oy and is currently on display in the 20cdesign showroom in Dallas Texas. This breathtaking chandelier casts a warm glow of light from the intricately perforated brass bowl upwardly illuminating the delicate hand-cut brass snowflakes casting long shadows on the ceiling which gently move with the flow of the natural circulation of air in the room. This fixture creates a uniquely soothing and dramatic ambient landscape on the ceiling of any room. This example was created in approximately 1954 and was sold through the Finland House showroom in New York City. The entire lamp is brass and has been completely polished back to its original golden tone and was also professionally rewired and is ready for installation. The lamps is comprised of 40 snowflakes. Signed with paper Finnish-American trade label.
