Description
Mid-century modern Dandelion Sculpture, in the style of Harry Bertoia.
Intricately welded, large-scale, freestanding mid-century modern dandelion sculpture. From the collection of Ann Zwinger;
Colorado Springs, CO. Purchased, circa 1965.
We have been unable to confidently document the artist of this Mid-Century Modern sculpture. The family that it originated from owned dozens of significant sculptures including Henry Moore and Joan Miro. She did have a few small pieces in her collection with supporting documents by New Mexico artist Roger Schultz. There is a chance that this piece could have been created by him. It has a similar feel to works by artists such as Harry Bertoia, Richard Lippold and Claire Falkenstein.
Good condition, wear consistent with age and use.
The sculpture can be removed from the stand for transport.
Measures: 6’ high.
