George Nakashima Mid-Century Modern Free Edge Coffee/Cocktail Table.
Custom ordered in 1963, this early George Nakashima Studio coffee/cocktail table is one of the larger mid-century examples of this form measuring in at over six feet long.
The freeform edges are amazing. The stunning sap grain, the slight inclusion with the solid rosewood butterflies, and the oblong knot together make this table a really extraordinary example. Signed with the client’s name. Includes a copy of the original sales invoice from the Nakashima Studio.
Lightly used, with very light scratches, or minor cosmetic wear, but has no structural issues. Most antique and vintage items fit this condition. Wear consistent with age and use.
All surfaces have been cleaned, oiled, waxed and polished back to the original specifications.
No repairs. The table is in exceptional condition.
