Harry Bertoia Bracelet Sculpted and Worn by Harry Himself
In the 1970s Kaaren Berntsen of Oslo, Norway invited Harry Bertoia to create a line of jewelry produced in limited editions. The present lot was likely made by Bertoia for this project which never came to fruition. Sold with a certificate of authenticity issued by the Harry Bertoia Foundation. Circa 1975.

  • Abstract oil and encaustic on board by Walter McCown executed in the mid-1960s. From the corporate collection of a private Texas bank. Walter Edwin McCown is a listed Texas artist who was born in Whitney, Texas. He lived for times in McAllen, Harlingen and finally settled in Waco. He studied art with Dolly Nabinger, Eleanor Roth and Norma Knight. He first began exhibiting with the Texas Watercolor Society in 1951 and in 1960 won first prize in the El Paso Sun Carnival Art Exhibition. He was also a member of the Texas Fine Art Association and exhibited in many of their exhibitions. When he moved to Waco in 1957 he began to exhibit nationally from Los Angeles to New York. He later became an art instructor. The demand for his stylish paintings continually increased until his untimely death.
