Description
Intricately welded large-scale dandelion sculpture. From the collection of Ann Zwinger, Colorado Springs, CO. Purchased circa 1965. We have been unable to identify the maker of this sculpture. She owned dozens of sculptures including ones as important as Henry Moore. She did have a few small pieces in her collection with supporting documents by New Mexico artist Roger Schultz. There is a chance that this piece could have been made by him as well but it also could have been created by a number of sculptors from the same period. It definitely has a similar feel to works by artists such as Harry Bertoia, Richard Lippold and Claire Falkenstein. It is designed to hang from the ceiling by a wire.
