Etruscan dining or game table designed by Philip and Kelvin Laverne. Bronze forms embedded in pewter create a pattern reminiscent of ancient Etruscan artistry. The bronze pedestal is embellished with sculptured abstract forms adhering to the column of the base.
This 48″ example was the largest diameter available at the time of production. It has been very well preserved and is signed on the base.
literature: The Art of Philip LaVerne: Sculpture II, Bronze and Pewter Tables, studio catalog, pg. 28 illustrates this model.
Very well preserved. All original, some spots to the base and light surface scratches to clear lacquer finish.
